According to various sources I have read, Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertisement, can be interpreted as follows:
- Internet advertising where the advertiser pays a pre-agreed price each time someone clicks on an advertisement. Also called "Paid Placement." The price is typically arranged via an auction, with ad placement determined by the relative size of the bid, and sometimes other factors.
- A type of search engine marketing and advertising in which a person sets up an account and pays a predetermined price every time someone clicks on their ad.
- System where an advertiser pays an agreed amount for each click someone makes on a link leading to their website. Also known as Cost-per-Click, the results are dependent on reserved keywords for which the website is shown when they are entered into a query.
- A type of web advertising which allows bids for ad placements. Bids are most often measured as an amount per click-through, or each time a user visits a website, the bid amount is extracted from the bidder's account.
- Each click on a link or a banner generates a commission for the webmaster.
- Also known as 'pay-for-performance', 'paid search', 'paid advertising', 'pay-per-ranking', 'pay-per-placement', 'pay-per-position', 'search marketing'. Paying for rankings as opposed to gaining organic rankings owing to web site merit, ie content, relevancy and link popularity.
From the various descriptions above, we can conclude that the Pay Per Click Advertisement is an online advertising program that aired on the website or blog, website or blog owners who display ads will get a commission from each click on the ad.
Some sites that offer Pay Per Click program are :
- Google AdSense
- ValieClick Media
- Infolinks
- BidVertiser
- Adsense Camp (id).
